GWM ORA 5 Price in Pakistan 2026: Specs, Features and Full Review

By Admin User · 7 August 2026 · 4 min read

The GWM ORA 5 is the newest electric vehicle on sale in Pakistan and the third ORA-badged model to reach the country. It slots in just under the PKR 9 million mark, which puts a 435 km WLTP battery within reach of buyers who were previously looking at a mid-spec petrol SUV.

GWM ORA 5 Price in Pakistan

The GWM ORA 5 carries an ex-factory price of PKR 8,599,000. It went on sale in Pakistan on 6 August 2026, brought in by Sazgar Engineering Works, GWM's partner in Pakistan.

The booking amount is PKR 1,700,000.

Remember that ex-factory is not what you pay. Registration, freight and dealer handling typically add another PKR 150,000 to 400,000 depending on your city and the engine or battery slab the vehicle falls into.

Powertrain and Performance

A single front-mounted permanent-magnet motor produces 201 hp and 260 Nm, enough for 0-100 km/h in roughly eight seconds and a 170 km/h top speed. Power comes from a 58.33 kWh pack rated at 435 km on the WLTP cycle. Expect closer to 330-380 km in Pakistani conditions once the air conditioning is working against 40 degree heat and city traffic.

Running Costs in Pakistan

A comparable petrol SUV returning 12 km/l costs roughly PKR 35,000 a month in fuel over 1,500 km. Here is how the GWM ORA 5 compares.

  • Energy use: about 13.4 kWh per 100 km at the claimed range
  • Monthly electricity: approx. 201 kWh, about PKR 12,060
  • Monthly saving vs petrol: approx. PKR 22,940, or PKR 275,280 a year

Figures assume PKR 280 per litre of petrol and PKR 60 per unit of electricity at 1,500 km a month. Adjust for your own mileage — the gap widens the more you drive, and narrows sharply if most of your kilometres are on the motorway.

Who Should Buy the GWM ORA 5?

Reasons to buy:

  • The most range per rupee of any EV currently on sale in Pakistan
  • Genuine crossover ground clearance rather than low-slung hatchback packaging
  • Strong enough for motorway overtaking, unlike earlier budget EVs

Reasons to hesitate:

  • You live somewhere with heavy load-shedding and no solar or battery backup for overnight charging
  • You need more than about 350 real-world kilometres between charges on a regular basis
  • You plan to resell within two to three years — EV resale in Pakistan is still an unknown

GWM ORA 5 Rivals in Pakistan

  • BYD Atto 3 — larger battery and a bigger service network, but PKR 1 million or more dearer
  • MG4 Electric — similar money, similar range, hatchback rather than crossover packaging
  • ORA 03 — its own showroom sibling, less range for slightly more money but a more distinctive cabin

After-Sales and Ownership

The single most important question to answer before buying any ORA in Pakistan is whether there is an authorised service centre in your city, and what the parts lead time is for body panels and electronics. Newer entrants have closed most of the feature and quality gap with the established Japanese brands, but the service network is still the thing that determines whether ownership is easy or painful. Ask the dealer for the parts lead time in writing before you pay the booking amount.

Verdict

At PKR 8,599,000 the ORA 5 is the value play in Pakistan's EV market right now — nothing else offers 435 km of claimed range for under PKR 9 million. If you have reliable overnight charging and plan to keep the car five years or more, the running-cost maths is hard to argue with.
