Fuel prices in Pakistan are regulated by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and revised fortnightly, effective from 5 September 2026. Pakistan imports crude oil primarily priced against Brent Crude — as the international barrel price rises or falls, OGRA adjusts pump prices for petrol, diesel, and kerosene. One barrel of crude oil equals 158.987 litres; pump prices are higher than the raw crude cost because they include refining, government levies (PDL, GST), and distribution margins.
