Token tax is the motor vehicle tax that every registered car in Pakistan pays to its provincial Excise and Taxation department. Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK each run their own system. Most owners pay every year, and some provinces also offer a one-time lifetime token.
